Kim (Mecier) Hugerth
Owner Kim Hugerth began her hairdressing career 37 years ago. After completeing her cosmetology education and licensing Kim went on to the Vidal Sassoon Academy in London for further education. She also attended the Tony and Guy Academy in London before completing additional haircolor training in Rome, Italy. Kim has worked along side product distritubors such as ISO teaching color and cutting. She currently serves on the Board of the Cosmetology training program at Stafford Technical Center.
Kim is a leader among her team and supports each stylist's continued education. Each stylist attends a minimum of two cosmetology training sessions a year. Kim continues to be a regular each year at the The International Salon and Spa Expo Long Beach which is the largest professional educational beauty event on the West Coast from which she brings back the newest hair style trends to the Rutland area. Kim is a certified colorist with Tutto Color line, Redken, Loreal lines and the Keratin Straightening System.

Under the direction of Kim Hugerth, Avanti has achieved local accolades by winning the Rutland Herald "Best of the Best" - Best Salon 2009-2011 and in 2010 both Kim and Stylist Allyson Ryan won Best Stylists status.
